Skills-based weekly classes covering every aspect of musical theatre performance
A Triple Threat performer can sing, dance, and act — and these weekly classes are designed to help young performers develop all three skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Run by tutors from New Zealand’s National Youth Theatre, these classes provide focused training in musical theatre performance while building confidence, creativity, and stage skills.

Who the classes are for
TripleThreat classes are open to all students aged 9–18 who want to grow their performing arts skills.
You do not need to be participating in a current NYT production to join, and both experienced performers and beginners are warmly welcome.
These classes are ideal for students who:
- Love musical theatre and want to develop their performance skills
- Are looking for regular training with experienced tutors
- Want to build confidence, teamwork, and stage presence
Class structure
Students train in two age groups to ensure everyone receives appropriate guidance and challenge:
- Ages 9–12: 1 hour class
- Ages 13–18: 90 minute class
Within these groups, tutors work closely with students to ensure everyone is supported and stretched to reach their full potential.
