Our Waikato Programmes

National Youth Theatre has been running in the Waikato since 2023, with our first programme leading up to performances of "The Little Mermaid JR". Our 2026 programmes are really exciting - we're starting off with the amazing "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", and we have a very special announcement about our end of year plans coming very soon!

How to Join Us

Create an Account

Create an account, give us some details about the student and then you're all ready for Step 2. This also gives you access to our cast area - this is our primary communication tool.

Choose a programme

All our programmes are for those aged between 7 & 21.

We run our main programme twice a year. This involves mostly Sunday afternoon classes, leading up to a performance week in a major theatre.

Our School Holiday programmes run for 5 days each school holiday, leading up to a smaller scale devised performance for friends and family.

Our skills workshops - musical theatre based and drama based - run after school in term time.

All our programmes fill fast - sign up for our newsletter to make sure you don't miss out.
