Everyone knows the story of the Wizard of Oz, but there has been a different light cast on it by the hit musical Wicked. By a stroke of luck, the movie Wicked 2 comes out in the theatres the week before our performances, giving audiences and our cast the chance to compare and contrast the two different treatments!

Tickets are now on sale from Ticketmaster for our public performances on November 28, 29 and 30. You can view the public casting here if there is a cast member you particularly want to see.

National Youth Theatre is New Zealand's largest and longest running theatre programme for young people. We change lives from the stage, providing a space where you are embraced for who you are and encouraged to share your unique voice. This is a fantastic opportunity for young performers to be part of this spectacular production, as we bring the magic of this family favourite show to life.

There are also three subsidised performances for schools, on Thursday 27th November at 9.45 am & 12.15 pm, and Friday 28th November at 12 pm.  If your school is interested in attending please get in touch.
