DIRECTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER

Rachael is a recent graduate of the Te Kawau Toi Musical Theatre degree, and is a teacher and performer based in the Waikato.

Some of her on stage credits include Sandy in 'Grease', Inga in 'Young Frankenstein', Janet Van De Graff in 'The Drowsy Chaperone', Brooke Wyndham in 'Legally Blonde', and ‘Christine Colgate’ in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Her creative team credits include musical directing 'Annie JR' and 'The Addams Family' at Morrinsville Theatre, as well as choreographing Morrinsville Theatre’s Mary Poppins JR, Bold Theatre’s Be More Chill, Elf JR with St Peter’s Cambridge among many other.

This year Rachael made her New Zealand professional debut as Sally in the summer tour of The Cat in The Hat, and her Australian professional debut as a swing in AUS tour of Madagascar the Musical. 

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Growing up in Morrinsville, Baxter discovered his love for music and the performing arts from an early age. Now 18, he is a first-year student at WINTEC, studying Music and Performing Arts, building on years of theatrical and musical experience.

Baxter’s performance journey began on stage, with standout roles including the Soldier Ancestor in The Addams Family, Michael Feldman in Back to the 80s, the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz JR., Jack in Into the Woods, and Lefou in Beauty and the Beast JR., among others.

His passion for music expanded when he joined the band as a bassist for Legally Blonde at Morrinsville Theatre, opening up a new dimension of creativity. Earlier this year, he took on the role of Musical Director for Mary Poppins JR. and discovered a deep love for working behind the scenes. Most recently, he performed as a drummer in the orchestra for Cats at Clarence Street Theatre.

These experiences have taken Baxter from centre stage to the orchestra pit, pushing his musical boundaries across instruments and genres, and enriching his understanding of the collaborative nature of musical theatre.

For this production, Baxter’s goal is to create a supportive and inspiring musical environment—where every young performer feels confident to explore their potential, both on stage and behind the scenes.
