Our charitable mission
Changing young lives through theatre
National Youth Theatre is a New Zealand charitable trust and registered charity (CC47068). Our mission is to deliver inclusive performance adventures and inspirational life experiences that help young people aged 7–21 build confidence, creativity, resilience and connection.
We provide musical theatre productions, weekly training and school holiday programmes, alongside scholarships, free schools’ performances and funded attendance that help remove barriers to participation.

Cinderella
The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale, told with the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. This Enchanted Edition is reimagined with the changes made for the 1997 movie, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. This romantic fairy tale still warms the hearts of children and adults alike.
